Lawrence Venuti's theory of foreignizing translation is not only featured with post-structuralism philosophy， but also resulted from the Marxist tradition of the Frankfurt school. Hence， it is obvious that he proposes foreignizing translation in opposition to domestication based on the cultural industry and popular ethics， and that foreignizing translation apparently has elitist， deontological and pan-political theoretical tendencies.
