1930年代是臺語流行歌發展的第一個高峰,而這與臺灣的唱片工業有著直接 且絕對的關連O當年推動流行歌創作的幾家重要唱片公司,面對同業競爭時,各有其因應策略。其中有兩家公司最具影響力,分別是古倫美亞及勝利唱片公司O這兩家唱片公司在唱片定價及曲目的選擇上各有其不同的商業考量O
過去關於日治時期臺語流行歌的研究中,較缺乏直接以商業角度出發的觀點。本文將以上述兩家唱片公司當年出版的總曰錄及78轉唱片此第一于史料,搭配其它相關報導及文獻,歸納當年臺灣古倫美亞及勝利唱片公司在行銷臺語流行歌上使用的商業方法。

英文摘要

The Taiwanese popular song reached its first peak in the 1930s, which directly and absolutely resulted in the bloom of record industries in colonial Taiwan. The contemporary record companies of that period applied various strategies to stand their commercial achievement out against their rivals. Two of these competing companies are the most influential : Colombia, and Victor, which had their respective consideration toward repertory and pricing policies.
There relatively wants viewpoints out of commercial stances of researches into Taiwanese popular song during Japanese colonial period. Here I conclude the commercial strategies of the two companies on marketing Taiwanese popular song by taking account of their catalog published along with 78rpm records as first hand materials as well as other periodicals and relevant literatures.
