一九九九年十二月二十日中共將正式收回澳門，成立澳門特別行政區。

儘管中共仍承認在一九九九年十二月二十日以後葡文仍是澳門的官方語文，但是中文能否成為過渡後的形式和事實上的官方語文，不僅影響中共「主權」的尊嚴，更影響;奧門的平穩過渡和「回歸」後的安定繁榮。值此澳門即將「回歸」之前，實有就i奧門中文官語化的問題作一深入探討。本文首先將探討澳門中文官語化的必要性;其次將就當前澳門關於中文官語化的一些政策與措施作一分析;然後再就當前澳門中文官語化所出現的問題進行探討;最後根據各方面的闡述加以歸納，進而說明澳門中文官語化的問題與困難，以及對「回歸」的影響。

Macao will become a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China on December 20， 1999. Despite Beijing's recognition that Portuguese will remain an official language of Macao after that day， whether Chinese can be established as the formal and de facto official language of Macao will have a great impact not only on Beijing's "sovereign" dignity， but also on Macao's smooth transition， stability， and prosperity after its handover by Portugal to mainland China. The issue of making Chinese Macao's official language， therefore， needs to be examined in depth. This paper begins with a discussion of the necessary reasons to make Chinese Macao's official language. Macao's current policies and measures to make Chinese the official language are then analyzed. Finally， the problems and difficulties Macao has encountered in this realm and their impacts on the enclave's return to mainland China are deliberated.
