本文是對伊塔羅﹒卡爾維諾(ItaloCalvino)的小說《看不見的城市» (Invisiblecities) (1974)的評論。本文將這本小說放在都市丈研究的脈絡堆里，指出文學作品 和學術研究同為論述建構的事業。城市手里多重論述與多重現實的交錯，點明了史學和文學密切相繫的命運，而兩者聯盟的基礎，正是在於論述戰門的政治手于動。透過文學的啟示，辨明學術研究亦為論述建構約事實，可以開啟都市史研究的新視野。

This paper is a review of ItaloCalvi no's novel Invisible Cities (1974). Situated in the context of urban history research， this novel illustrated that both literary and academic works involve the construction of discourses. The intimate connectness of history and literature was illuminated by the intersection of multi-discourse and multi-reality of cities， and the foundation of their coalition resides in political actions through discursive battles. Through the reading of Invisible Citiy we may find out a new vision of urban history research.
