本文針對高分子材料聚醚醚酮 (PEEK) 及超高分子量聚乙烯 (UHMW-PE) 兩種高分子材料,利用環-盤對 (ring-on-disc) 試件,在不同轉速與負載的對偶配對下進行磨耗試驗,探討其摩擦與磨耗性能,以及所產生的溫度變化與磨潤性質之關係,可得知在相同 PV 值情況下,磨耗率及表面溫度受到接觸應力之影響較滑動速度明顯。研究中並利用光學顯微鏡觀察上述高分子材料表面的摩擦、磨耗機制與現象。

英文摘要

The tribological behavior of poly(ether-ether-ketone) (PEEK) and ultra high mo-lecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) in sliding contact is studied. The specimen used in the wear and friction test is a pair of ring and disc. The tribological characteris-tics of polymers can be measured under specific contact stresses combined with a wide
range of sliding speeds under well-controlled conditions. The temperatures of the disc will be measured and calculated by thermocouples. Therefore, the wear property and surface temperature will be investigated to find the relationship between them. It is ap-
parently that the factor of contact stress is more effective than that of sliding speed at the same PV. Consequently, the wear mechanisms of worn specimen surfaces are ex-amined by the optical microscope. The relationship between wear behavior and thermal effect is established.
