人們參與遊憩活動之目的在於滿足個人之各種遊憩需要，故遊憩需要之滿足能力是衡量遊憩活動吸引力之重要指標。本文利用日月潭風景特定區遊客調查資料，分祈遊憩活動對各種遊憩需要之滿足能力，並應用群落分析法歸納出滿足能力相類似之四類遊憩活動群。本文並以此滿足能力及參與成本為解釋變數，應用所有調查樣本建立個體遊憩活動選擇模型。最後，亦應用不同社經特性之遊客樣本建立模型，以比較分析各遊客組對遊憩活動偏好之差異。

People participate in recreation activity to satisfy some of their physical or psychological needs. Recreationist's perceived need - satisfaction levels provided by various outdoor recreation activities are appropriate measures of its attractiveness. In this paper，the need-satisfying characteristics of recreation activities were investigated. Four activitγ groups were derived by cluster analysis technique based on the similarity of those need-satisfying capabilities. The disaggregate recreation activity choice models were calibrated using the need-satisfying capabilities and participating cost as explanatory variables. The activity choice models were also constructed for different population segments to examine possible effects of recreationists' socio-economic characteristics on their preferences toward outdoor recreation activities.
