本文針對鋅在含聚乙二醇(PEG)之 8 M 氫氧化鉀溶液中的腐蝕行為進行研究。研究結果發現,平均分子量為 400 與 600 的聚乙二醇(PEG400 與 PEG600)皆可在極短時間內大幅降低鋅的腐蝕電流,而且 PEG600 的防蝕效果優於 PEG400。PEG400 或 PEG600 在 8 莫耳氫氧化鉀溶液中的適當添加重量百分比約為 0.2%。在初期的 10 天內,PEG600 對於鋅陽極的保護效率可高達 90%以上。當浸漬時間由 10 天延長為 30 天,PEG600 的保護效率會遽減約 16%。PEG 保護效率的變化與電化學交流阻抗測試以及表面顯微觀察的結果極為一致。
The electrochemical characteristics of zinc in 8 M KOH electrolytes containing polyethylene glycol (PEG) were investigated. It was found that PEG400 (PEG with an average molecular weight of 400 g/mol) as well as PEG600 could dramatically decrease the corrosion current of zinc
in extremely short time. In addition, the protection efficiency of PEG600 was superior to that of PEG400. The optimum concentration of either PEG400 or PEG600 addition in the 8M KOH electrolyte is around 0.2%. During the first ten days of storage, the PEG600 provided zinc with a
rather high protection efficiency of > 90% from corrosion. However, an abrupt drop of protection efficiency, about 16%, was observed when the storage time was extended to 30 days. This decline of protection efficiency of PEG was in agreement with the results derived from AC impedance measurements as well as morphological evaluations.
