The author proposes two h-mixed synthetic indices, S=100×1g(h×CPP) and T=100×1g(R×h×CPP), for the assessment of research performance, where CPP stands for citations per publication, h for h-index, and R for R-index, the square root of total number of citations in the Hirsch core (Ch). Like their components that respectively measure average citations of all publications, publication output and impact, and total number of citations in the Hirsch core, the h-mixed synthetic indices S and T use readily accessible data to produce a holistic measurement of academic achievement. Higher values correspond to greater academic achievement. The S and T indices are stratifed by values of 100 to indicate varying degrees of achievement, where S<100 or T<100 indicates poor levels.
