本篇研究長期觀察一名早期植入人工電子耳孩童的國語聲調發展,並與其聽常的異卵雙胞胎妹妹的發展做比較。語料採集自4個月大至34個月大,每兩個星期進行一次錄音採樣,錄音場所於孩童家中,以孩童之間的自然互動或與媽媽的互動為主。本篇研究報告針對18個月大至24個月大的語料進行分析研究。研究結果指出該名聽障孩童的高降調出現頻率最高,並且高平調與高降調的正確率較其他聲調高。此外,該名聽障孩童亦在基頻最大最小值差上有明顯的成長,由無變化的平調漸漸出現音域變化。
Specialists working in the field of the language development of hearing-impaired children underline the importance of early implantation (Manrique, Cervera-paz, Huarte, & Molina, 2004). This study probed tone acquisition in a hearing-impaired child with early implantation, and compared him with his hearing-normal fratemal twin sister. They were observed at home, once every 2 weeks, from the age of 4 months to 34 months. This current study reports the observation from 18 to 24 months. Theresults indicated that the hearing-impaired child produced high falling tone with the most precision, and correctly produced high level tone and high falling tone more frequentlythan other tones. Thehearing-impaired child also showed improvement in the difference between maximum and minimum of fundamental frequencies.
