中文摘要

本研究應用顆粒狀活性碳,進行溶液中硫酸根離子之吸附去除。顆粒狀活性碳先於鹽酸溶液進行改質,經由溶液中硫酸根離子之濃度變化以及吸附效率之計算,瞭解其對吸附提昇之效果。實驗結果顯示,以 20克顆粒狀活性碳進行溶液中液相吸附時,溶液在濃度 20 mg SO42-/L及總體積 2升的條件下,硫酸根離子之起始去除速率為 2.896 mg SO42-/min,其單位活性碳之吸附量為 2.363 mg SO42-/g。而未經鹽酸處理之顆粒狀活性碳,因活性碳表面之硫酸根離子在溶液中釋放,使得溶液中之硫酸根離子濃度反而增加,未能達到吸附去除硫酸根離子之效果。另外,活性碳吸附硫酸根離子之等溫吸附方程式亦以實驗數據加以驗證。將實驗數據代入 Langmuir以及 Freundlich吸附等溫方程式中,得知本實驗系統同時適用於兩種等溫吸附方程式。

英文摘要

The adsorption removal of sulfate in acidic solution using granular active carbon was discussed in this study. According to the analysis of anion concentrations and the calculation of adsorption efficiency, the surface of active carbon was modified, and the adsorption efficiency was promoted in acidic solution. The experimental results indicate that the initial removal rate was 2.90 mg SO42-/min, and the amount of adsorption at equilibrium was 2.363 mg SO42-/g, under the condition of 20 g active carbon added to the two liter acidic solution with the concentration of 20 mg SO42-/L. The sulfate concentration was increased by actived carbon without acidic pretreatment, because the sulfate was release from the surface of actived carbon, and the removal of sulfate cannot be attended. In addition, the isothermal adsorption equation of sulfate ion using actived carbon was also proved by experimental data. Put the experimental data into Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption equation, adsorption follows both Langmuir and Freundlich models in this experimental system.
