儒家學說不僅包括治國安邦之道,而且包括安身立命之道。安身立命的問題,實際上是如何看待處理義與命的關係問題,也就是對個人的人生遭際有正確的認識,從而樂天知命。儒家或儒者的安身立命之道,就是獨善其身,修身養性,終身不二,以道德安身立命。具體來說,怎樣才算達到了安身立命?第一,知命、立命的人生定見。第二,獨善其身的道德追求。第三,安之若素的行為方式。第四,心安情樂的精神狀態。何以能安身立命?第一,德者得也的價值信念。第二,義以為上的價值標準。第三,良心人格的主體力量。第四,求學愛樂的生活方式。第五,唯吾德馨的精神回報。
The Confucianism includes the way of administering state affairs well and ensuring national security, and also the way of settling down and getting on with one's pursuit. Radically, the issue of settling down and getting on with one's pursuit is about the relationship between morality and fate, in other words, it requires a right understanding of life circumstances and contenting with what one is. The Confucian way of settling down is strengthening the moral cultivation for a fragrant moral realm, i.e. confirming the value and meaning of life relying on morality. But, what is the manifestation of settling down in detail? Firstly, the set view of fate; secondly, the pursuit of moral cultivation alone; thirdly, the behavior manner in regarding with equanimity; fourthly, psychosis in content and happiness. How to reach settling down? Firstly, owing the faith of “morality is gain”; secondly, persisting in the value standard of “morality is priority”; thirdly, exerting the body force of conscience and moral personality, fourthly, the life style is in learning and music edification, and finally, the spirit feels good for a fragrant moral realm as responding.
