當代以電腦繪圖所生成之「虛擬物件」與攝影機「實拍影像」,兩者經由影像“匹配移動”技術而成為單一鏡頭,由於視覺效果的「擬真」程度令人震驚,滿足了人類的視覺需求更使得這項技術成為當代電影特效的主流。為何觀賞者對於這種人為的視覺影像「知其虛假,卻又信其為真」?何種視覺要素影響了人類的視覺判斷,成為所見「擬真」之主要關鍵?
本研究以不同時代中主流媒材之擬真探討為出發,在人類視覺特性之基礎上逐步建構出「虛擬物件」與「實拍影像」合成與人類視覺擬真認定之關連性,經由理論進而實作並分析特效合成之技術基礎與共通性原則,並引用知名特效電影【黃金羅盤】劇照進行交互性之驗證。
研究結果顯示,「虛擬物件」與「實拍影像」合成與人類視覺認知「擬真」之間,含蓋了觀賞者期望、虛擬物件設計與特效合成技術等類別,共計 10 點的擬真關鍵性因素。藉由此項研究之結果,期能提供動畫與影像「擬真」合成時之參考。

英文摘要

With matchmoving techniques, computer generated virtual objects can be seamlessly composed into live scene. Having the real footage and imaginary virtual elements in the same scene, the match-moving effect has become one of the mainstreams in producing visual effect. But why do people know it is false, yet always believe it to be true”? Which kinds of visual factors in match-moving have affected human vision to see realism as the main key?
This research uses various mainstream media from different ages to discuss the realism concept.
Based on visual characteristics, the theories of correlation between realism recognition and composition of virtual objects and live-scene are formed. Verification of these theories is first exemplified using images from the well-known special effect film, the Golden Compass, then demonstrated using our animation work of this study.
The results of the research showed that between virtual objects and live-scenes the synthesis and humanity vision perceive realism. This also includes viewer expectations, the virtual objects design and post-processing etc. There are a total of 10 crucially essential visual factors. These factors are expected to provide the animation and realistic post-processing a useful reference.
