功能性影像和解剖性影像的影像融合,可以正確地定位病灶及區分正常組織,幫助醫師在臨床上做出最有利病人的決定。使用電腦軟體進行影像融合的技術在臨床上已經使用多年,尤其是在神經學上的應用。隨著正子斷層掃描(PET)和電腦斷層(CT)兩種影像系統的整合成功,儀器商也成功整合了單光子斷層掃描(SPECT)和CT推出了SPECT/CT系統,SPECT/CT系統的優點在於幫助判讀功能性影像的病灶位置以及利用CT影像來做SPECT影像的衰減校正,目前在臨床上SPECT/CT的應用多集中於腫瘤方面和感染方面,心臟學方面則在於提供心肌灌注掃描影像的衰減校正。利用影像融合技術和新式的SPECT/CT系統於臨床應用上已有相當多發表文章。在未來,SPECT將結合更新更快速的64切或128切CT,可以同時進行CT血管攝影和心肌灌注掃描來評估冠狀動脈疾病。

英文摘要

Image fusion of functional and anatomical images can aid in the decision-making process by enabling better localization and definition of organs and lesions. Image fission with software algorithms for the coregistration of anatomical and functional images has been in clinical use for many years, especially in neurological applications. Following the commercial and clinical success of PET/CT system, the dual-modality integrated imaging system that provides SPECT and CT in the same scanning session is commercially available now. The advantages of combining SPECT with CT are anatomic referencing in interpreting and using CT images for attenuation correction of SPECT data. SPECT/CT system has been applied primarily to examine oncologic and infectious diseases. In cardiology, SPECT/CT provides faster and better attenuation correction for myocardial perfusion image. More and more articles have been published for clinical application that employed image fusion technique and new modality. In the future, it is technically possible to integrate the new faster 64-slice or 128-slice CT scanners to SPECT/CT device. At that time, coronary CT angiography and myocardial perfusion imaging for non-invasive evaluation of coronary artery disease can be achieved in one clinical setting.
