對紐西蘭的資優教育而言,21世紀是發展迅速且受到重視的時刻,一連串的教育改革,和「市場機制」的引進,政府減少介入與干預,也創造出一個更有效能的教育系統,意味著學校將變得更為自主,成為自己的主人。紐西蘭在資優教育方面的優勢,在紐西蘭將資優教育的精神融入普通班教室當中,所有的學生只要有特殊需求,都可得到適性的教育,沒有一致官方鑑定標準,使紐西蘭的資優生鑑定更具彈性,多元文化的重視,更使以往容易被忽視的學生族群能得到妥善的服務。以學生的需求為出發的課程與教材,使紐西蘭的資優生得依照自己的需求,發揮自己的潛能。

英文摘要

The gifted education in New Zealand developed fast and be valued in 21 century. A series of educational reformation and the instruction of marker force decreased the governmental interference and intervention, and also created a more effective educational system. All these improvement showed the school transformed into more independent, and became master of themselves. To merge the gifted educational spirit into the regular classroom makes New Zealand became outstandingly. All the students with the special needed could receive the appropriated education. Without the national definitions of gifted and talented, the definitions in New Zealand became more flexible. To value multiform cultural leaded the students who is ignored easily can receive a suitable provision. The student-based material and curriculum was invested from students needed, leaded students in New Zealand can meet their need and rich their potential.
