智慧生理感測衣是結合了紡織傳統產業、電子、資通與材料高科技產業，以及時尚設計與人文藝術的科技產品。有別於一般的紡織產品，智慧衣系統應用範圍跨足了軍事、醫療、運動與娛樂，能提供各種類型的資訊 (參數)，如呼吸、心跳、體溫、手臂擺動、步行姿勢、GPS 定位等資訊，以及卡路里計算與音樂服務等。智慧生理感測衣系統包含智慧衣、控制盒與電腦 (手機)，智慧衣可以提供需要的監測 (monitor) 參數；控制盒將生理參數透過電路運算與藍牙等無線傳送方式，將生理參數送至電腦 (手機) 端分析，能顯示結果給使用者或監看者，更可以達適時的建議、預測、提醒與警告等。

Smart clothing is a technology product that combines traditional industry like textile, and high-tech industry as electronics, information technology and material. The smart clothes, different from general living product, is applied on military, medical, sports and entertainment. It provides many kinds of information (parameters), e.g. breath, heart beat, body temp., arm swing, walking posture, GPS systems, calorie, and music services. Smart clothing system consists of smart clothes, control box and cell phone (computer). Smart clothe provides the requested monitor parameters; control box does the circuits operation and transfer information to users or monitor via Bluetooth to achieve proper suggestion, prediction, warning and alarming.
