本文利用1973年於山東省陵縣出土的〈魏故輔國將軍瑯瑘太守平原明府君墓誌銘〉（簡稱明賚墓誌），結合1972年南京出土的〈宋故員外散騎侍郎明府君墓誌銘〉（簡稱明曇憘墓誌）及傳世史書，考證明氏的得姓和先世源流、明氏外徙後平原故里的情況、明賚和明曇憘家族的關係，及明賚家族成員的仕宦情形。

Based on the tomb epitaph of Ming Lai that was excavated in Ling prefecture in Shandong province in 1973 and the tomb epitaph of Ming Tanxi excavated in Nanjing in 1972, together with other traditional history texts, this article examines a variety of issues including the ancestry of the Ming clan, the origins of the surname, the situation of the ancestral home in Pingyuan after the Mings had migrated out, the relationships between the of families of Ming Tanxi and Ming Lai, and the political careers of members of Ming Lai’s family.
