台灣近年隨著生活形態、消費意識、設計觀念及設計工具的變遷，設計的思維、知識及技術亦隨之成長，因而發展出許多新興的設計議題與多元的設計理論，包括各國政府、教育機構、產業界與傳播媒體等，設計不僅已是當代的一門顯學，更成為影響企業發展與國家經濟的重要因素。本研究旨在透過國科會設計專題計畫的分析，探討我國在設計研究領域的相關議題，使用後設研究方法，檢視國科會設計專題研究的領域、研究屬性與議題，分析專題研究計畫的各類議題，與整體研究議題的分布。研究結果發現，研究議題多數為設計管理與策略、圖像設計、造形風格與感性工學、認知相關、文化、意象，視覺議題相關。本研究期能為設計相關領域在整體環境的變遷之中，建構出脈絡清晰且具備時代性的組織架構，進而成為發展明日設計的重要基盤。

Nationally or internationally, the academic study about design is still in a gradual development.With changes to consumer target, designers, customers and designing tools, in Taiwan the design concept, theories and skills are changing from time to time. Hence, there are many emerging and
multiple design concepts and theories. Now topics related to design have attracted much attention from many governments, educational institutions, industrial field and the media. Design has become a popular contemporary subject, which is also one of significant elements that can affect enterprise development and national economy.The main purpose of this study is to explore the trend about the design projects in National
Science Council. The meta-analysis was adopted to examine the fields, the categories and the topics in National Science Council’s design projects. A wide of different topics in its design projects have been analyzed. In this study, design projects in recent ten years have been collected. In the allocation of topics, in the subject variables, most topics are related to design management & strategies, graphic design, styles and sensibility engineering. Topics, which were less studied were artificial intelligence,ergonomic design. In terms of attribute variables, most topics are related to cognitions and the topics less studied were about communication, responses and the sense of value. For intervening variables,most topics are about cultures and images. For observation variables, most topics are related to visions and there were only a few topics about tactile and five senses. It is expected that this study
can structure a clear framework and a visionary theory for design study in this changing environment and become a reference for deeper explorations in the future.
