以3 個原生種及6 個雜交種芭菲爾鞋蘭屬為材料,取根尖經8 羥基喹啉(8-Hydroxyquinoline)前處理及地衣紅(Orcein)染色後觀察其染色體長度及臂率比。P.
insigne 核型為2n = 26 = 26m、P. rothschildianum 核型為2n = 26 = 22m + 4msm、變異種P. hirsutissimum var. esquirolei 核型為2n = 30 = 26m + 4T、P. Goddodllar (P.primulinum × P. armeniacum)核型為2n = 30 = 22m + 2sm + 4msm + 2T、P.rothschildianum × P. micranthum 核型為2n = 28 = 26m + 2msm、P. Sunshine Glory ‘B’(P. concolor albm × P. anthang-albm)核型為2n = 26 = 26m、P. kolopakingii ‘Minoda’ ×P. rothschildianum 核型為2n = 28 = 14m + 6sm + 6msm + 2T、P. acmodontum × P.sukhakulii 核型為2n = 38 = 30m + 4msm + 4sm、P. liemianum × P. kolopakingii 核型為2n = 32 = 30m + 2T。6 個雜交種之後代體染色體數有2n = 26、28、30、32 及38 等;依其親本染色體數,可分為親本染色體數累加正常及偏離累加之型態;累加正常者有P. Sunshine Glory ‘B’;另累加偏離者有P. Goddodllar 及P. liemianum × P.kolopakingii。又以P. rothschildianum 2n = 26 為親本雜交P. kolopakingii ‘Minoda’或與P. micranthum 之後代亦屬於偏離累加之型態。

英文摘要

The root tips of three Paphiopedilum species and six hybrids were used for this karyotype study. Active root tips were pretreated with 8-hydroxy-quinoline and then stained with orcein solution for chromosome measurements. P. insigne had 2n = 26 = 26m karyotype, and P.rothschildianum had 2n = 26 = 20m + 4msm + 2sm karyotype. The karyotype was 2n = 30 = 26m + 4T for P. hirsutissimum var. esquirolei, 2n = 30 = 22m
+ 2sm + 4msm + 2T for P. Goddodllar (P. primulinum × P. armeniacum), 2n = 28 = 26m + 2msm for P.rothschildianum × P. micranthum, 2n = 26 = 26m for P. Sunshine Glory ‘B’ (P. concolor albm × P.anthang-albm), 2n = 28 = 14m + 6msm + 6sm + 2T for P. kolopakingii‘ Minoda’ × P. rothschildianum, 2n =
38 = 30m + 4msm + 4sm for P. acmodontum × P. sukhakulii, and 2n = 32 = 30m + 2T for P. liemianum × P.kolopakingii. The six hybrids were classified into additive and aberrantadditive types according to the
chromosome numbers of their parents. P. Sunshine Glory ‘B’ and P. acmodontum belonged to the additive type, while P. Goddodllar, P. liemianum × P. kolopakingii, and the hybrids between P. rothschildianum and P. kolopakingii ‘Minoda’ or P. rothschildianum and P. micranthum belonged to the aberrant additive types.
