本研究主要使用關係觀點-即知覺組織及知覺同儕支持-觀察其對大學一年級新生適應時間長短的影響。為了處理適應時間,本研究利用事件歷史分析法進行分析,研究假設檢定所用樣本為一所大型並享有相當學術聲望之私立大學。研究結果顯示,學生之知覺組織(學校)支持可有效縮短大學入學新生的適應時間,而學生自我效能與對將入學之大學的瞭解,亦對縮短新生適應時間有顯著影響,文末並對於教育管理與實務的意涵加以討論。

英文摘要

This study examined the influences of relational variables, perceived organizational and peer support, on first-year college students' time of adjustment with the application of event history analysis. Hypotheses are tested with a sample of newcomers in a large and prestigious private university. The results reveal that perceived organizational support enables school to shorten new students' adjustment time. The results also indicate that both self-efficacy and pre-entry knowledge are also negatively related to first-year college students' time of adjustment. Implications for education management theory and practice are also discussed.
