校園植物具有多項功能,例如物種保存、美化、教育功能等。經調查結果得知南投縣竹山鎮所轄國民小學共計14 所,校園木本植物計有70 科171 屬244 種,其中包含蕨類植物2種,裸子植物29 種,雙子葉植物185 種,單子葉植物28 種;其中140 種為引進栽培種,78 種為原生種。各校的木本植物以雲林國小種類最多計有103 種,文田國小最少,僅23 種。依植物在各校出現的頻率選出南投縣竹山鎮校園常見的木本植物為:桂花、臺灣肖楠、變葉木、樹蘭、榕樹、福木、龍柏、小葉欖仁樹、樟樹、臺灣欒樹、大葉桃花心木、山櫻花、春不老、黑板樹、阿勃勒、楓香、大王椰子、黃椰子、蒲葵、垂榕。經研究結果顯示竹山鎮國民小學校園木本植物總數量,以外來種的比率最高,約為63%;非特有種之原生種比率約為27%,而特有種比率僅約為10%,比率並不高,考慮在本土生態教育及推廣目的,或許各校在木本植物種類及數量在植物多樣性或特有種及原生種的種植均可加強。

英文摘要

Plants on campus can provide multiple functions, such as conserving plant species,beautifying the campus, and educating the students. This investigation was conducted on 14 elemen-tary schools in the Chu-Shan Township, Nautou. A total of 244 species consisting of 171 genera and
70 families, was recorded. Twenty-nine species were gymnosperms and 185 species were dicotyledonous plants. The highest woody species richness was found in Yun-Lin elementary school and the lowest one was in Wen-Tian elementary school. The species richness on campus was influenced by
campus size, management of campus garden, and area of open ground. The common woody plants species on the campuses were Osmanthus fragrans, Calocedrus formosana, Codiaeum variegatum,Aglaia odorata, Ficus microcarpa, Garcinia subelliptica, Juniperus chinensis var. kaizuka, Terminalia mantalyi, Cinnamomum camphora, Koelreuteria henryi, Swietenia macrophylla, Prunus campanulata,Ardisia squamulosa, Alstonia scholaris, Cassia fistula, Liquidambar formosana, Roystonea regia, Chrysalidocarpus lutescens, Livistona chinensis var. subglobosa and Ficus benjamina. These
results also indicated that 63% species belonged to cultivated species and native and endemic species constituted 10 and 27%,
repectively. ,Hence, the plantation in native and endemic species should be deliberately considered in future plan.
