咖啡的銷售在台灣逐年增高，成為受歡迎的生活飲品。根據流行病學的研究顯示咖啡和心血管疾病間具有關聯性，適度地飲用咖啡可能會降低中風發生的機率。血小板扮演血管栓篩的關鍵角色，咖啡有抑制血小板功能的作用，然而有關咖啡與間的關聯(探討)仍有爭議性。血栓彈力分析可以瞭解全面性的凝血功能，因此，本研究的目的即是探討咖啡飲品是否對凝血功能有影響，以血栓彈力分析法監測整個動態凝血過程，評估凝血作用及凝血纖維蛋白溶解作用之平衡狀態。結果發現，咖啡對內路徑的凝血過程和凝血纖維蛋白質無明顯的作用，但是會降低外路徑的凝血過程，還增加凝血纖維蛋白溶解的速率，此外也發現義式咖啡對血小板的ADP和TxA2活化路徑有較高抑制凝血反應的效果。整體而言，推測適度地飲用咖啡對身體是有益的，除了作為提神飲品外，有降低血栓發生的作用，減少中風疾病發生的機率和醫療成本。

The market of coffee increased gradually and became the most popular beverage in Taiwan. Epidemiological studies indicate a relationship between coffee consumption and cardiovascular risk, suggesting that moderate coffee consumption can be beneficial. Platelet aggregation is of critical importance in thrombotic events, and platelets play a major role in the aetiology of several cardiovascular disease. Some results have shown that coffee consumption exerts an inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation; however the effect of coffee on platelet function is debated. The Thrombelastograph Haemostasis System provides an overall assessment of haemostatic function. It provides a graphic representation of clot formation, platelet aggregation and lysis. Thrombelastograph is a point of care test that provides an overall assessment of ex vivo hemostatic function. Platelet mapping assay of Thrombelastograph can analyze individual and personal platelet function. The aim of this study was to evaluate the whole effect of coffee brewing on blood coagulation by using Thrombelastograph analysis. Coffee decreased platelet aggregation, and inhibited ADP and arachidonic acid induced platelet aggregation. The espresso coffee had the highest inhibition percentage of platelet function. This study researched into the blood coagulation and benefit of coffee drinking to consumer, it might decrease the risk of disease and medical cost.
