修復性司法一改報應性司法死板的衝突解決模式，強調犯罪雙方的互動。伊斯蘭律法給人一種嚴厲的印象，似于與修復性司法格格不入。事實上，伊斯蘭主張和平、寬恕、及集體利益，與修復性司法有著異曲同上之處。作為一個傳統的伊斯蘭國家沙烏地阿拉伯，在現實生活中也運用與修復性司法類似的衝突解決方式維護社會穩定。

Restorative justice refuses the model of conflict resolutin of retribtive
justice by stressing the interaction of criminal and victim. Islam leaves an impression of strictness on the world, and seems divergent from restorative justice. In fact, Islam advocates peace, forgiveness, and collective interests, and therefore has a solid base for restorative justice. Saudi Arabia, one traditional Islamic country, uses special procedures which is similar to restorative justice to solve conflict among Muslims or non-Muslims and maintain social order.
