Present study is focused on developing a preconditioned flow solution
scheme for simulating flows over a wide range of Mach numbers. The
scheme is constructed for hybrid unstructured tetrahedral, prismatic, and
hexahedral meshes. Spatial discretization is accomplished by employing a
cell-centered finite-volume formulation with Roe’s flux-difference splitting.Higher-order differencing is achieved by using a simple cell reconstruction process that results in computational efficiency.Solutions are advanced in time by adopting LU-SGS implicit scheme on the reordered mesh system.Solutions for internal and external flows and different speeds are presented to demonstrate code accuracy and its convergence to steady state.
