A flux vector splitting procedure with unstructured hybrid meshes have
been developed successfully for solving the time-dependent,three-dimensional Maxwell equations. Efficient reconstruction schemes are
employed to facilitate the high order scheme. The boundary conditions,
especially on geometrically symmetry planes, for electric and magnetic field are addressed. To demonstrate the application of the present procedures, the 2D and 3D electromagnetic waves with different wave numbers about a perfect conducting sphere and a dielectric sphere are tested, and the corresponding RCS (Radar Cross Section) are studied for code validation.
