手杖是目前使用率最高的行動輔助器具,但由於其單價並不高,手杖的性能要求往往被忽略,因此損壞時有所聞。本文探討手杖使用時所遭遇到的問題,如設計與各組件破壞的原因,並參照國際上在手杖規格與檢驗標準之規範,包括手杖基本結構、零組件的大小規格、結構強度測試,以及三腳手杖與四腳手杖之穩定性生測試與溫溼度反覆測試等的相關規定及性能要求,提供有關單位參考。
Cane is one of the most popular mobility devices since it's cheap and easy to be used and carried. However, it was found some failures due to the design or the material problem. This report analyzed the causes of failure in use and also discussed the international standard specifications for different types of cane. The methods of material test and requirements of performance for cane based on the international standards were also discussed, including the static loading and cyclic loading tests for all types of cane, and the temperature/humidity cycling and stability tests for tripod walking stick and tetrapod walking stick.
