本研究從「體驗經濟」(experience economy)的觀點來解析台灣木製家具產業的經營與管理,研究樣本從台灣家具產業中最具代表性的展覽「2008年台北國際家具展」266個參展廠商中,依據(1)是木製家具廠商(2)非單純家具買賣行為(3)有從事家具設計開發與產品製造等三項篩選標準,篩選出台北市的山林希家具,台中市的台灣福曼莎家具、禪境工房及賀園實業有限公司,台中縣的乾梧木業社、伸保木業、金悅成木業及尚揚家具,台南縣永興祥木業及高雄市的山隱離俗生活文化等10個研究案例,研究以文獻探討法、深度訪談法及KJ法進行研究,透過深度訪談紀錄與意象分析的方式進行第一手資料之收集,研究之目的有:1.探究台灣木製家具產業的產品材料、生產技術與產業結構之演變情形。2.分析台灣木製家具產業意象之特徵。3.以文化創意產業中「體驗經濟」的觀點來探究台灣木製家具產業之經營與管理。研究發現台灣木製家具產業的特徵為企業經營者有半數以上皆是木工出身,大部分企業在台灣有自己的工廠且工廠許多都位於住商混合區,其經營模式仍以家族事業或其第二代居管理層要職為多,但創始人仍居重要管理決策影響地位的狀況,其生產方式以半自動電腦化的生產為主,而經營方式強調產品走向及技術資料的累積,在永續經營的著眼點上則著重公司內部的整合管理及異業結盟的項目上,許多公司的經營版圖已經擴大到海外及自產自銷的方式,並著重網路行銷及與室內設計師合作等行銷手法,進一步創立自我品牌,達到自創品牌(OBM)之目標,而自創品牌的成功與否則與產品內容、產業策略等項目息息相關。希望能藉由此研究之結果提供給台灣木製家具產業之業者與政府相關單位做為傳統產業轉型為文化創意產業或自創品牌時經營管理之參考。

英文摘要

“Experience economy” is all kinds of unforgettable activities by personalized way which makes customers have joyful memory. This study from 266 companies who attended “2008 Taipei international furniture exhibition” which is the most typical furniture exhibition in Taiwan, 10 cases have been selected according to 3 screening criteria which are 1. wooden furniture company, 2. not only sales business, 3. having furniture design and product manufacturing. The selected companies are Shan-Lin-Si furniture in Taipei city and Taiwan Fu-Man-Sa furniture, Chang-Jin workshop, Her-Yuan company in Taichung city and Chan-Wu wooden furniture, Shan-Bo wooden furniture, Chin-Yuan-Chen wooden furniture, Shan-Yang furniture in Taichung county and Yun-Shin-Shang Wooden furniture in Tainan county and Shan-Yin-Li-Shu living culture in Kaohsiung city. This study uses paper research, in-depth interview and KJ method to sum up the studying results. By in-depth interview record and image analysis, the update data have been collected. The aims of this study are 1.Studying the changing of material, technology and industrial structure for Taiwan wooden furniture industry. 2.Analyzing the image characteristics of Taiwan wooden furniture industry. 3. In the aspect of “experience economy” of culture creative industry, studying the operation and
management of Taiwan wooden furniture industry. This study found that the characteristics of Taiwan wooden furniture industry is over half company owners are carpenters. Most companies have factory located in residence–business mixed district in Taiwan. The major operation models still are family business or second generation as manager, but the founder still makes important policy decision. The major manufacturing methods are semi-automatic system. The business policy emphasizes product trend and technology accumulation. In continued operation, most focus on company internal integration and alliance with other industry. Many companies have expanded to overseas market and manufacturing combined sales and start e-commence marketing and cooperation with interior designer which can create brand in further to achieve the goal of Original Brand Manufacture. Successful original brand is highly related to product content, strategy etc. Through the studying results, it is expected that it can provide reference for traditional industry transferring to culture creative industry or original brand manufacture to Taiwan wooden furniture industry and government related units.
