竹馬陣又稱竹馬團，屬南管系統文陣之一，唯其宗教功能較其他南管系統文陣強烈，是以十二生肖為表演形態與內容之文陣。竹馬陣從演出性質分類屬文陣陣頭，從演出內容分類屬小戲陣頭，從演出形式分類屬載歌載舞陣頭，位於臺南縣新營市土庫里土安宮的竹馬陣，是目前臺灣碩果僅存的一團。相較於其他南管系統文陣，竹馬陣過去的研究與筆者的實地調查，很少見有傳統曲簿留下，而這也是筆者多年來極欲想了解之謎。在偶然的機緣裡，有幸知道事實上竹馬陣仍有豐富的傳統曲簿留下，透過盧俊逸的幫忙，輾轉掌握了這些曲簿，雖只是翻拍，但已令筆者興奮萬分。本文將從傳統曲簿內容、曲目、及與南管系統文陣曲目之關係，來探討竹馬陣之曲目，以彌補與豐富南管系統文陣之曲目以及彼此間之關係，期為臺灣南管系統文陣留下更多的史料。

“Zumajhen”, also known as “Zumatuan”, belongs to “Wunjhen of the Nanguan
system”. The religious capability of Zumajhen is much stronger comparing to any other Wunjhens of the Nanguan system and its performamce form and content is based on “The 12 Animals of the Chinese Zodiac”. Zumajhen is classified to be wunjhen jhentou by the character, is classified to be
small drama jentou by the content, and is also classified to be “jhentou with singing and dancing” by the form. The Zumajhen located on Tuangong, Tuku Village, Xinying City, Tainan County is the only Zumajhen still existing in Taiwan. Other than any Wunjhens of the Nanguan system, the traditional copies of Zumajhen are rarely found by the past researching and the author’s investigation. In fact, the plenty of the traditional copies of the Zumajhen still exist. It was a coincidence that the author had a chance to see these traditional copies through Mr. Lu Jyun-yi help.
Even though these copies are not handwritten copy, the author is really satisfied. This article is going to deeply research the songs and melodies of Zumajhen by the content, songs, melodies of the traditional copy and the relationship between Wunjhen of the Nanguan system and Zumajhen. The main goal is to retain more and more information of Taiwan Wunjhen of the Nanguan system for next generation.
