人類之思維方式有「邏輯」與「形象」之分。其中「邏輯思維」能使人思考細密，條理清晰。如落於辭章來說，則與所謂之「篇章邏輯」，亦即「章法」密不可分。因為「章法」所關涉是潛藏於篇章內容材料的邏輯關係，亦即篇章條理，也就是綴句成節（句群）、連節成段、組段成篇的一種組織。它源自於人類與宇宙共通的理則，而這理則，正是人人進行各種思考的準據。所以人如能好好地掌握呈現「篇章邏輯」之「章法」，依據它的四大規律－秩序、變化、聯貫、統一，來從事思考或閱讀、寫作，則其「邏輯思維」，假以時日，必定可以逐漸合於秩序、變化、聯貫、統一的要求，以達到條理清晰之目的。

There are two ways of thinking; namely, "logic" and "image". Logical thinking makes people to be deliberate and to "talk sense". In terms of literary works, it refers to the logic of composition, which is closely related to organization or methodicalness. The organization of writing involves the logic of contents; that is, the orderliness of composition to combine sentences into paragraph, and then into a piece of writing. The logic originates from the general principal of universe on which human thinking is based. Reading and writing, on the other hand, involve four kinds of logic-order, variation, coherence and unity. If one can handle the "organization" in the logic of writing, his/her logical thinking will accord with the criteria of order, variation, coherence and unity, and be able to talk sense in his/her writing.
