楊仁山（1837-1911），在近代佛教史上算是開風氣之先的人物，世人稱譽他為「中國近代佛教復興之父」。2 實際上，他既是一個認真研究佛法深義的學者，也是一位虔誠信仰的佛教徒，而他的佛教思想對當時的學術思想界，具有相當廣泛的影響3。楊仁山（1837-1911）畢生從事佛教的弘化護法的工作，先成立金陵刻經處4，作為刻印藏經和流通佛經的處所，後又於該處設立祇洹精舍、佛學研究會5，為當時的佛教界培育一批優秀的人才6。楊仁山（1837-1911）作為一個中國近代佛教復興的重要人物，他的思想理念和學佛實踐值得我們關注，從他流傳下來的《楊仁山居士遺著》，不難會發現有儒釋道三家的著作，內容相當豐富。本文擬以楊仁山（1837-1911）有關儒家著作──《論語發隱》一卷，進行分析討論，試著去探討其儒學思想，而《論語發隱》「以佛解儒」的詮釋方式與明末藕益大師（1599-1655）《論語點睛》相似，是否亦是一種「援佛入儒」或「儒佛融合」，也是本文探討的部份。
