本研究採取深度訪談合作機構督導之研究方法,嘗詴在大一強制性服務學習課程合作經驗中,從機構的觀點來探討他們對於大一學生進行服務學習的看法,並且分析與歸納機構必頇具備的態度與觀念,以提供大學和機構合作推動服務學習之重要先備認知,縮短彼此了解與磨合適應的時間,促使服務學習理念與教育目的更易落實。研究發現:(1)大一學生特質個別差異大,與一般志工的特質有所差別。(2)陎對前來服務的大一學生,機構應該多包容與接納,並耐心教導,給予學生學習和體驗的機會。(3) 機構督導帶領服務學習過程中,應教導學生禮貌和工作倫理,簡介機構與工作說明,依學生特質與興趣安排適當的服務內容,了解學生服務的狀況與感想,提供雙向溝通的機會。若是機構能成為志同道合的教育夥伴,與大學一同投入服務學習的行列,彼此認識與接納、持續具體的互惠行動,尌能創造更優質的教育環境。

英文摘要

This paper aims to explore the community agencies’ perspectives on the freshman-year stu-dents’ traits and the coping strategies in the mandatory service learning program at a university in central Taiwan through in-depth interviews. Supervisors from 19 community agencies were inter-viewed. Their perspectives of students’ traits, attitudes and concepts are analyzed to provide guide-lines for the initiation and development of service learning partnerships within the university and community agencies. The major findings are: (1) Freshman-year students’ traits differ from those of the volunteers in general; (2) Facing the coming freshman-year students, the community agencies should be more patient to accept and educate students by giving a learning experience; (3) the supervisors should also teach students good manners and work ethics, instruct the service tasks, arrange suit-able services according to students’ traits, coach their work, and communicate with them to under-stand their service conditions and feelings. Community agencies, being a co-educator, may be united with the university with mutual respect and reciprocal actions to create a high-quality learning envi-ronment for service learning in higher education.
