壞死性涎腺變生(Necrotizing sialometaplasia)是一種因唾液腺缺血壞死而造成的臨床上類似惡性腫瘤的病灶。它是一良性自限性疾病，大約數週左右會自行癒合。錯誤的臨床以及病理診斷會造成不必要且不適當的手術治療。我們提出一個左上顎壞死性涎腺變生的病例，經過病理切片診斷後，持續觀察十一週後，病灶癒合良好。藉此強調病理切片診斷的重要性並進行文獻回顧與探討。

Necrotizing sialometaplasia (NS) is a benign, self-limiting inflammatory disease of the mucus-secreting glands mainly involves in the minor salivary glands. Most of the recently reported cases have emphasized that the resemblance of the clinical and histological findings of NS to malignancy might result in misdiagnosis and inappropriate surgical therapy. We reported a 24-year-old woman with NS over left hard palate performed by an incisional biopsy. By the case, we also emphasized that an incisional biopsy must be performed and careful histopathologic examination should he done to determine the proper treatment and management regimen.
