長期照顧服務是高人力資源投入的領域，其要求的人力含括有專業、半專業及志願性人力，質量均優的長期照顧品質對長期照顧服務的輸送與運作效率將是十分關鍵的要素。本文針對社會工作人力在長期照顧領域內，如何跨界、擴點、深耕等層面深入探討並提出較全面與有效的人力發展策略，甚至思索社工專業在長期照顧領域發展後對社工教育與專業可能帶來的衝擊，應是當前社工教育部門與社工專業組織值得關心的議題。基於此背景，本文以文獻回顧、電話訪問方式，並與作者群本身經驗的反思與歸納，將逐一探討下列主題：一、跨界、擴點、深耕之概念論述與社工實施領域二、社會工作在長期照顧領域不同服務據點之發展與困境三、長期照顧領域社會工作人力發展的策略最後，本文將針對社工專業組織、學校社工教育單位，及第一線之工作者等提出未來社會工作在長期照顧領域不同據點發展之策略與作法，提出建議供參考。

This article focus on the developmental strategy of social work professional in the long-term care field, the three key concepts that include the cross-boundaries, expanding-settings, and embedding-contexts were introduced to observer and discuss the developmental experience and process in the medical and long-term care field of social work practice.
Using the methods of literature review and telephone interview, the authors also reflect their experiences and induct some implications, this article is to discuss the following topics including:1. the concept of cross-boundaries, expanding-settings, and embedding-contexts and the field of social work practice.2. the current status and dilemma of the social work in different service setting in long-term care service field.
3. the strategies of the long-term care social worker manpower development.At last, some suggestions were offered to social worker association,social work education department, front-line staff etc. for developing and creating the strategies in the different service setting in long-term care service field.
