本研究之目的在於探討懷舊團體工作對於失智長者之成效，並提供懷舊團體工作模式建議給實務工作者參考。研究發現：本研究呼應了Parker (1995)所提出研究－即懷舊處遇對於失智老人個人功能與社會功能有正向之成效。在本研究中，經由懷舊團體工作過程，發現長輩們在處遇後，重現失智長者記憶中的城堡歷程擷取重拾兒時快樂的光陰並增進長者溝通技巧與社會互動。最後研究者提出建議未來値得推廣於護理之家或長照機構。

The aims of this research are (1) to understand how “reminiscence group work＂ affects the old people with dementia; (2) models of reminiscence group work and suggestions may be provided to the practitioners.Findings: The results of the research reflected Parker＇s research—reminiscence treatment may affect the personal and social function of older people with dementia positively. In the research, through the reminiscence group work, memory castle of the old people with dementia had been regained, happiness of life in childhood also revealed; verbal expressions and personal interactions were increased among elderly members after treatments. Finally, this research suggests that it is worthy for us to promote the reminiscence group work in nursing homes and long-term care institutes.
