The public transportation system brings great convenience to people.
However, news of train-jumping (e.g. boarding a train without having paid the fare) is often heard, and such news forces the train companies to strengthen the manpower they provide for inspecting tickets. Therefore, the companies shift the cost to the customers, causing ticket prices to rise higher and higher and passengers to become more annoyed by inspections while they are resting. In this paper, we use a Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) mechanism conforming to EPCglobal Class 1 Generation 2 (C1G2) standards to solve this train-jumping problem as well as reduce the cost of manpower and complaints by passengers. Most
importantly, this protocol also supplies high security in all of the processes.
