The article characterizes the Russian populists’ late works which were
written and published when this ideological movement and social doctrine was in deep crisis. The article focuses on such authors as A. I. Ertel, N. N.Zlatovratsky, P. V. Zasodimsky, V. P. Bystrenin, P. J. Jakubovitch, G. I.Uspensky and others. The interpretation of their works by Russian populist community and Marxist criticism is analyzed. The article includes rare quotes by A. N. Potresov who shared Menshevist position and by L. Trotsky with his own political views.
