本研究主要目的在探討台灣原住民族與漢族在父母教養方式、子女自我概念、制握信念之差異,以了解兩個族群家庭教育特色及其與子女自我概念、制握信念的關係,結果可用於多元文化家庭教育之推展。本研究樣本取自全國2084 位學生。其中原住民族321 人,鄉鎮漢族707 人及城市漢族1056 人。全部樣本都接受父母教養方式問卷、自我概念量表和諾史制握信念量表之施測,所得資料以單因子多變量變異數分析、Pearson積差相關和多元逐步迴歸分析做統計考驗,得到結果如下:(一)原住民族與漢族在父母要求教養方式、子女自我行動有差異,在制握信念無差
異。(二)原住民族與漢族在父母教養方式、子女自我概念與制握信念之相關層面有差異。(三)原住民族與漢族之父母教養方式、子女自我概念各層面對子女制握信念之最具預測力變項相同,其他達顯水準之可預測變項有差異。

英文摘要

The purposes of this research were to compare Taiwan aborigines with Hans in parenting styles, children’s self concept and locus of control, and to understand the charactistics of the races’ parenting styles and their relations to self concept and locus of control. The results would be
usable to promote multicultural family education. The research sample took from the nation 2084 people, including the aboriginal students 321, the villages and towns Han students707,and the cities Han students 1056. Subjects were given three questionnaires to obtain parenting styles scale, Tennessee self concept scale, and Nowicki-Strickl locus of control scale. All of the data was analyzed by one-way multivariate analysis of variance, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The findings discovered that, (1)the aborigines and Hans had different demanding parenting styles and childrens’ self behavior, and no different childrens’ locus of control ; (2) the aborigines and Hans had partly different correlational dimensions between parenting styles, childrens’ self concept and locus of control;(3)
the aborigines and Hans had the same major factor influencing childrens’ locus of control, the other pridicable variables were partly different.
