海測局運用SysScan製圖系統輔助繪製海圖已獲致滿意之結果。就現有經驗，將之與傳統清繪製圖作一比較，對該局往後之發展方向、步調應具若干啓發作用；對有意從事類似改革的單位或個人，相信亦能提洪有用之參考。比較的內容包括作業方式、耗時、耗材、人員訓練、精度與品質、功能等項目。又目前國內對地理資訊系統的討論方興未艾，本文亦討論此一製圖系統之「地理資訊」功能，與其他地理資訊系統之相容性，以及未來展望等。

This article also discuss the GIS function and the compatibility with other GIS of SysScan Mapping System. How to improve this mapping system was discussed, too.
