地圖使用能力為學童增進空間知能、解決生活實際問題不可或缺的基本能力,應從小學階段即加以重視。本研究參照認知理論與兒童地圖能力相關文獻,從坐標定位能力、空間方位知覺、量測能力及符號化能力等四個面向探討高小學童地圖使用能力之現況。研究結果顯示,高小學童地圖使用能力具性別與年級差異,且整體表現仍有待加強。因此本研究進一步擬訂國小地圖學習課程結構圖,分析我國國小地圖學習課程規劃之情形,並提出增進學童用圖能力之建議。
Map-use abilities are the basic abilities to boost spatial cognition, and solve practical problems in life. Based upon the cognition theories and literatures concerned, analyzing form four dimensions: ability of coordinate location, spatial orientation, measurement and symbolization, the study makes a survey on current map-use ability in the 5-6 grades students. The result reveals that the 5-6 grades student's abilities to use maps shows discrepancies in sex and grade; besides, there is still room for them to make progresses. Further, we propose a framework of map-learning curriculum and analyze the relevant parts in the curricular standard of primary school in Taiwan. Finally, suggestion are made to improve children's map-use abilities.
