全球定位系統(GPS)自1973問世之後，至今已有三十多年的研究與應用，其主要應用於精密測量及導航上。GPS定位測量主要分為兩個部分，一為外業資料的收集（硬體部分），二為資料的處理（軟體部分），在硬體部分，多以外購專業的工具為主，而在軟體部分，則可以分為自行開發及購買套裝軟體兩類，套裝軟體的優點是功能齊全，使用方便及維護容易，而其缺點則是需要定期投資購買更新版本，這樣對於經費上的配置影響很大；而自行開發軟體的優點是絕對能滿足目前業務之需求，也能夠因個人需求不同而自行修改程式，其彈性較大，也能節省業務單位之經費。本文所引用之MATLAB軟體並非是測量之專業套裝軟體，故無法直接應用於測量上，但是MATLAB軟體具有製作軟體的工具特性，其有許多方便使用之一般及專屬之元件，可仿計算機語言方式撰寫程式供測量計算。MATLAB是一套用於數學計算非常方便及功能非常強大的軟體，而全球定位系統是需要繁瑣的數學計算才能把一些定位相關的數據求出來，例如：GPS時間系統換算、衛星軌道位置計算、GPS單點定位、誤差上的分析、坐標上的轉換等等，所以此次即在開發以MATLAB為平台的程式來作衛星導航定位及相關之計算與評估。

Since 1973 the research of GPS has been carried out for more than thirty years and the major applications of GPS are focus on the precise surveying and navigation. The GPS surveying can be divided into two parts, i.e., the raw data collecting in the field and the data processing in the office. The data collecting needs the GPS hardware and the data processing requires the baseline and network adjustment software, which can be developed by own or purchased from the professional company. The merits of the commercial product are friendly use and simple maintain, but cost is the main concern. Rightly, the benefits of the self-developed program are fulfillment the obligation and easy upgrade. The idea of this study is to generate the GPS program with MATLAB package, which is a type of mathematical package. There are many object-oriented components that can be used for developing the powerful programs, such as GPS time translation, satellite orbit estimation, GPS single point positioning, error analysis, differential OPS, and so on. The numerical evaluation tasks were performed for the previous self-developed programs and the feasibility of this new digital information compilation platform is positive fortunately.
