This paper presents a numerical study on the formation of Goertlervortices in mixed convection flow over a heated concave surface withrotation. The onset position characterized by the Goertler number Gδ ,depends on the Grashof number, the rotational number, the Prandtl numberand the wave number. The buoyancy force, the centrifugal force and theCoriolis force are found to significantly affect the flow structure and heattransfer. Negative rotation stabilizes the boundary-layer flow on the concavesurface. The Coriolis force acts in the opposite direction as the centrifugalforce and the buoyancy force. On the contrary, positive rotation andbuoyancy force destabilize the flow. The Coriolis force acts in the samedirection as the centrifugal force and the buoyancy force. The numericalresults show reasonable agreement with the experimental data.
