Tubularized incised plate (TIP) urethroplasty was first described in 1994 by Snodgrass. Since that original report, TIP urethroplasty has now been successfully applied to a variety of hypospadias repairs. The procedure has been widely adopted because of its simplicity, versatility, and good cosmetic outcome. We herein review new concepts in clinical and technical aspects of TIP urethroplasty based on published articles.
