中文摘要
一般認為體外震波碎石術是腎結石及輸尿管結石安全的治療方式，體外震波碎石術後產生嚴重併發症非常罕見。我們報導一肝硬化病例，因輸尿管結石接受體外震波碎石，術後因食道靜脈曲張出血並死亡。
英文摘要
Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) is considered to be a safe therapy for renal and ureteral stones. Life-threatening injuries are extremely rare after ESWL. Esophageal variceal bleeding with a fatal outcome after ESWL has never been reported. We report a case of esophageal variceal bleeding following ESWL for a ureteral calculus.
