與那國島（Yonaguni Islands）位居沖繩（琉球）群島西南，臨近日本、台灣的水域交界地帶，也是中國大陸進出西太平洋的樞紐管道。該地雖係孤懸大海、方圓不及30平方公里的偏僻島嶼，但因其背後涉及龐大的海洋利益與海陸要衝的戰略價值，遂使90年代以來國際角力的爭議愈演愈烈，每每衝擊東北亞區域的安全與和平而影響至鉅。本文之目的，即在透過「與那國島軍事化」的考察，藉以檢視日台關係的未來走向，並為台灣安全體系之構築，提供國際事務觀點的省思與參考。
英文摘要
The Yonaguni Island is in the southwest of Okinawa (Ryukyu) Islands. It is near waters border of Japan and Taiwan. It is a lonely yet strategic island with a sea, less than 30 square kilometers. The purpose of this article is, to investigate the future of Japan-Taiwan relation, and security system of Taiwan. It also provides some advices from the viewpoint of International Affairs.
