中文摘要

英文摘要

Thromboembolic events following a nephrectomy are rare. They are usually caused either by poor venous return because of prolong immobilization or by previously existing coagulopathy. When they occur, they are usually found on the venous side. Arterial occlusions after urologic procedures are extremely rare. Almost all previously reported cases were found associated with major vascular procedures such as anastomosis of the great vessels during renal transplantation. To our knowledge, there is only 1 similar case following a nephrectomy reported before by Sanad et al. in 1998 [1]. We report another case who presented with an acute abdominal aoric occlusion after a simple nephrectomy. The possible mechanism is also discussed.
