中文摘要

溪頭營林區屬於臺大實驗林所經營之國有林班地,轄有一至六等林班,總面積2,488 ha,海拔在600 m至2,025 m。區內四面環山,中央為凹地,有一北勢溪。本區年平均溫度 20.5℃,雨量集中在5-9月間,年平均雨量為2,614 mm,為夏雨型氣候。本研究在2009-2011間 進行以溪頭營林區為範圍,進行稀有或瀕危植物調查,並利用GPS記錄稀有物種座標位置, 並參考相關文獻,建立溪頭自然教育園區稀有植物資料庫,供保育之參考。本研究至目前為 止共記錄稀有或瀕危維管束植物有69種(含種以下分類群),分屬30科51屬,其中蕨類植物9 種、裸子植物4種、被子植物56種,被子植物中真雙子葉植物占24種,單子葉植物占32種,其 中蘭科植物占了最多,共計有30種。本研究提供臺大實驗林溪頭營林區稀有及瀕危植物的研 究和保育提供了基礎資料。

英文摘要

Xitou Tract Area of National Taiwan University Experimental Forest comprises six compartments of Taiwan's national forests, covering a range of 2,488 ha between 700-2,025m in Luku Township, Nantou County, central Taiwan. The area is surrounded by mountains, with a central concave land running through by Peishih Stream. With an average annual temperature of 20.5℃ and an average annual precipitation of 2,614 mm concentrated between May to September, Xitou enjoys a montane subtropical summer humid hot climate. To better conserve and sustainably manage its precious botanical diversity, inventories of vascular plants with locality data geo-referenced and comprehensive literature review were conducted in 2009-2011 to establish a list of rare and endangered plants in the area. In total, 69 taxa (species and intraspecific taxa) belonging to 51 genera of 30 families were recorded, including 8 species of pteridophytes, 4 gymnosperms, and56 angiosperms (24 dicotyledons and 32 monocotyledons, respectively). Orchidaceae is by far the most important contributor to the list, with 30 rare and endangered species found in the area. This study establishs an updated information for the plant resources of the area, providing crucial basis for the conservation and utilization of rare and endangered plants in Xitou Tract of National Taiwan University Experimental Forest.
