Public speaking has been a core course in the curriculum of English Departments in Taiwan’s tertiary vocational education, but it is generally
compressed to 2 hours per week. Hence, effective course planning and design are required for the course content to achieve the maximum efficiency of teaching and learning out of time constraints. This study first collects the kansei content normally contained in speech textbooks and extract critical factors out of the content. Experts’ evaluation of the factors is then analyzed by Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) to obtain several teaching proposals. Finally, these proposals are evaluated by Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) to find the best path, which can serve as a procedure of instruction in practice. The result obtained from
objective evaluations not only is an improved pedagogy of kansei public speaking but can also serve as reference index for improving student’s ability in kansei public speaking.
