傳統之患側腎臟合併輸尿管摘除術對於單一腎臟之病患不一定是最好的治療方法，原因是其治療效果並不一定比以保守外科手術合併局部化學治療為佳，且其將大大減低病人之生活品質，在此，我們提出以保守外科手術切除腫瘤並實施術後之局部化學治療之方法來治療此類病人兩例的報告。

Total nephroureterectomy and removal of a bladder cuff is an well established method for treating transitional cell carcinoma in the upper urinary tract. However, it is not suitable in a solitary kidney. Conservative surgery followed by intrapelvic chemotherapy is a rationsl alternative under this situation.
