Podcast，中文暫譯為「播客」，是繼1999年Blog（部落格）成為這波全球網路個人媒體的帶動者之後，再次掀起另一番漣漪的新興影音傳播媒介。許多評論都認為，繼Blog改變閱讀方式之後，Podcast是又一次改變收聽方式的革命。Podcast這種全新的影音傳播技術，所代表的是未來內容可訂製、可點播、可攜帶的趨勢，勢必會改變聽眾接收影音資訊的習慣和模式。本文採用文獻分析法，探討Podcast廣為應用會對傳統廣播產生的影響。悲觀者擔憂，Podcast會嚴重衝擊傳統廣播，甚至讓傳統廣播無法生存而消失；然而，樂觀者則認為，Podcast將會造成「廣播的重生」，因為推出Podcast節目，用新內容拓展新聽眾，是促使傳統廣播產業脫離當今萎靡現況，一挽狂瀾的最好辦法。Podcast未來是否能成為主流媒體，還言之過早，不過，可以肯定的是，網路科技加上草根的創意，Podcast不僅改寫一般閱聽人對廣播的傳統想像、改變廣播所呈現的面貌，更為下一世代的廣播寫下全新的定義。

“Podcast” is a portmanteau of the words “iPod” and “broadcast”. It is a series of digital audio or video media files made available for downloading via web syndication.The podcast is thought to make tremendous changes on the habits andmodels of the users who receive audio or video media files.By conducting the document analysis, the writer of this article aims to explore the effects of the podcast on traditional radio. Some think that the podcast will cause adverse effects on traditional radio,while others believe that by adopting the techniques of podcasting, traditional radio will thrive.At the present moment, it is still too early to claim whether or not the podcast is going to become part of the mainstream media in the future. However, it is certain that, with the techniques of podcasting and the grassroots creativity, the podcast will definitely change the face of traditional radio,thus giving it a new meaning.
