In the late 19th century, the applications of machine gun, barbed-wire entanglement, artillery, railway in the wars changed the type of wars. The Russo-Japanese War in 1905 was the massive and international war in the 20th century; it altered the balance of power in Far East area in the 20th century. However, the war did not only profoundly affect the countries in Asia, but also was the reason that Japan invaded China later, and the latency of World War II. Therefore, this article will analyze the Russo-Japanese War and its influence on the future by reviewing the causes of the Russo-Japanese War, strategic planning and war process.
