隨著高等教育多元入學方案的實施,工業設計學系也走向多元入學的招生管道。然而,在過去研究領域卻較少針對工業設計學系學生,進行入學後學業成就的比較,因此無法得知不同入學方案對學生入學後學業成就表現的影響,特別是在甄選入學制這部份。本研究為了解現行設計系所自行甄選人學制的方式,是否有招收到適佳入學之學生,以做為未來學校招生之比重調整參考。研究之個案學校挑選國內早期成立的設計學系之一,國立成功大學工業設計系,收集2002至2007年工業設計系大學部232位學生的學業成就資料做為分析。研究自變項為不同入學管道(分為考試入學、推薦入學及申請人學三種)及年級(分為一至四年級),依變項為學生入學後,其專業及共同必科目的學業成就。研究結果顯示,推薦入學生及申請入學生其專業必修科目的學業成就表現比考試入學生來的優異;並且推薦入學生其共同必修科目的學業成就也顯著優於申請人學生,研究結果之實務性意義,將在本文中探討之。

英文摘要

Multiple enrollment programs has been conducted in higher education for a period of time, design department also recruits students from different admissive ways. However, there are few papers focus on design students' academic achievement comparisons, thus we don't know the influence of multiple enrollment program on academic achievement, especially on the student who admitted by application and recommendation. The main goal of this study was to realize whether this enrollment program could recruit students with adaptation for design department. Realizing this question can provide a reference for recruitment weight adjustment for multiple enrollment programs. The academic achievement data of 232 students were collected from the Industrial Design Department of National Cheng Kung University during 2002 to 2007. Independent variables were enrollment programs (There are three programs: admission by application, school recommendation and examination) and years (from freshman to senior years), dependent variables were academic achievements of major and common required course. The result shows that the academic achievements of students recruited from school recommendations and from applications were better than those who were recruited from examinations in major required course. In addition, the academic achievements of students recruited from recommendation were better than those who were recruited from application in common required course. More practical implications of these results will be discussed in this paper.
